The purchase of your new handmade bike from Quixote Cycles starts with a conversation. Please call or email (jr {at} quixotecyles.com) to discuss your dream bike. I require a non-refundable deposit of US$500 to reserve a serial number which allows me to begin designing your bicycle and purchasing materials. We will do a fit session. (If you are not nearby, I will help recommend a fitter.) You will review and approve the design, cost estimate and parts list once they are to your satisfaction. I will produce your frame, send it off to paint, retrieve it for finishing (and assembly if you desire) then carefully pack and ship it upon receipt of final payment.

Current turnaround time is approximately 3 months.

Prices start at US$1800 for frame/fork with paint. There is no typical average since each bike is different. A recent complete track bike was $2900 and a recent commuter was $4600. Contact me for an estimate. While a complete bike may cost ¼ of a basic automobile's initial pricetag, consider that my goal is to help you replace car trips. Think of how much you'll save on parking, fuel, insurance, repairs, gym fees, medical bills,... If you need further rationalizations, just call.
